Each Banksia Aroma Pod has a combination of rough edges (the outside of the seed pod), holes where the seeds once were and a red velvety fur. These attributes are a completely natural part of the seed pod. Each Aroma Pod has its own unique qualities and you will never find two exactly the same.
Due to its porous nature, the Banksia seed pod has the ability to soak up essential oils. A mild aroma is diffused by soaking up and slowly releasing your added essential oil through the holes in the pod. This means no electricity or water is needed, making it one of the most natural and sustainable ways to diffuse your essential oils.
Whilst each Banksia Pod Diffuser is individually tested to ensure that no liquid seeps through to the bottom, because the pods are made from naturally porous materials it is recommended that something is placed underneath to protect surfaces.
